The South Coast is known for its many tourist attractions one of which is the annual sardine run. Better known as sardine fever many local residents and travellers storm the beaches to catch a glimse or a net full of sardines. This is the best time of the year to cast a spoon at the trapped baitballs and many large fish species have been caught during this time.
